Maria’s story is one of courage, resilience, and the power of community.

This sweet girl was rescued thanks to the teamwork of caring individuals and organizations—when our friends at K&D Rescue needed help, we didn’t hesitate. Terri and David drove all the way to South of the Border to bring Maria safely into the Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue family.

Maria is about 7.5 years old and appears to be a Corgi/Chihuahua mix. She has already faced many challenges in her short life, including suffering a stroke that left her with limited sight. But despite everything, she remains gentle, affectionate, and eager for love.

Now, she’s with us—and we’re committed to giving her the medical attention, support, and comfort she’s always deserved.

Maria will need:

• A full veterinary workup

• A neurological evaluation

• Specialized care for her vision loss

She’s not available for adoption just yet, but we are accepting applications for potential adopters and fosters ready to give her a safe, loving home when she’s ready.
